Seeking LSA/SPH/Ross Student for African LCA Project (April 10 deadline)

Hey everyone! My name is Brian Iezzi I’m a Ph.D. student here in Materials Science. I am currently working on a project with Ph.D. students conducting environmental and economic Life Cycle Analyses (LCAs) in East Africa and I am looking for students from UM LSA, SPH, Ross, or Information who may be interested in getting involved. The projects include biodiesel from alternative feedstocks in Uganda, renewable energy and waste management at copper mines in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and evaluating a new cooling system for solar thermal/photovoltaic systems in Rwanda. Involvement may include consulting with students working on these projects along with taking deeper dives into LCA databases and software. If you’re interested in learning more please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at bciezzi@umich.edu with any questions (please let me know by April 10th if you are interested).
